The Assassin is an upcoming seventh base class to be released inDragon Nest. It is decribed as the first class to use two mechanics: a stealth mechanic, which allows attacks while hidden from sight, and a cooldown charging mechanic, which allows the cooldown of skills to be prolonged in exchange for damage boosts depending on the amount of time added to that skill's cooldown.
Assassins are melee combat specialists who use Scimitars and Crooks to attack enemies at blinding speeds. He is also adept in fending off enemies from a distance using chains and shurikens. One main feature of Assassins is his ability to meld into the shadows and strike while unnoticed, and can evade incoming attacks with ease.
Personality-wise, the Assassin possesses a split personality. He has a girlfriend named Lunaria, and part of his storyline includes a talking ninja cat.
Assassin 2nd Job Change: Raven & Ripper
Raven and Ripper are two very different jobs.
Both jobs are elemental based but the dmg growth is much higher than normal non-elemental classes. In additon, the dev has lowered the fire and dark resist (in DDN), the disadvantage of elemental classes are not as severe as before.
Raven: dark elemental, mid-range, high burst, high skill damage. However, the disadvantages are the abundance of dark resist mobs and the low level of tough accessories (which gives high dark att %).
To make up for that, Raven has very high skill board damage ( in fact, it's the highest among all elemental classes)
Ripper: fire elemental, melee, high speed combo, short CD. However, fire elemental is relatively harder to stack. Nevertheless, fire resist monster are less encountered, and he has built-in fire buff (almost permanent).
Paladin's elemental aura is easily available as compared to the much rarer dark attack buff % from screamer. Futhermore, since you can equip high level accessories without the need to use low lvl tough accessories, Ripper has much higher raw stats than Raven. On the contrary, the skill damage of Ripper tend to be lower than Raven.
Last but not least, both these classes have a power basic job skill: Fan of Egde, which compensate their lower efficiency against high elemental resist mobs.
